Over the past 25 years, I have conducted research, taught and written on various topics related to Trees, Fungi, and Sustainability. I am a member of a Global Consortium on Brown Root Rot Disease, which monitors outbreaks of plant diseases worldwide, and a member of a Global Consortium for the classification of fungi. I have been appointed as the HKCAAVQ Specialist in Arboriculture and Horticulture, as well as a member of the Arboriculture and Horticulture Industry Development Advisory Committee under the Development Bureau. I have been engaged in Court Cases associated with tree failure liability, Coroner’s Court hearings, and judicial reviews. I have published 26 refereed papers (4 papers with an Impact Factor of 24.5), written 2 single-authored books (150,000 words), contributed 2 book chapters (including the Chronicles of Hong Kong) (50,000 words), written 21 magazine articles, authored 3 government leaflets, developed 1 mobile app, and participated in 146 media interviews (34 TV programmes, 14 radio programmes, 98 newspaper articles) on different scientific topics.
